It is the responsibility of patients to contact the surgery to find out the results of investigations such as blood tests, urine tests, x-rays and ECGs.
Please allow 1 week for routine blood, urine, stool, wound swab and sputum samples.
X-rays take 10 – 14 days and other test results can take up to 3 weeks.
Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your Patient Access account
- by phoning us on 0191 519 0077 after 2pm. A member of the reception team will be able to provide you with the information given regarding your result once the clinician has reviewed to result
