The spring COVID booster vaccination campaign will begin in April 2024.
Eligible patients include:
* adults aged 75 years and over. This includes those who turn 75 years old by 30 June 2024. These people will be eligible for a vaccination at any point in the campaign.
* residents in care homes for older adults
* People who are admitted to an older adult care home or become immunosuppressed by 30 June are also eligible.
* individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed (your hospital consultant or GP will have made you aware of this diagnosis)
There will be more information released later in April about how to book a vaccination. If you are eligible you may receive a letter from the NHS with details on how to book via the national booking system. Or you may see local pharmacies begin advertising vaccines for those who meet the criteria.
Patients in care homes will be vaccinated as usual by community nursing staff. This will be organised by the care home staff.
