Earlier this week the Prime Minister outlined the plan for Living with COVID-19.
Guidance for healthcare settings has been released today and the following will remain in place:
- Staff will continue to lateral flow test twice weekly. Should they test positive they will remain off site until they have had 2 negative LFD test results taken 24 hours apart. The first test will not be taken before day 5.
- There is no change to Infection Prevention and Control requirements and all staff, visitors and patients will be required to wear a face mask on site unless medically exempt (eg Learning difficulties, severe COPD etc)
We continue to provide face to face appointments with GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and our Nursing team. To ensure our staff stay safe and well and able to continue providing a great service to our patients, please do not attend the surgery for routine appointments if you are feeling unwell. We are happy to convert appointments to telephone slots where appropriate or rearrange.
If you need an appointment which can’t wait but suspect you have COVID, we have systems in place so you can still be seen but may be asked to wait in a separate waiting area. Please speak to our reception team who can advise you.
