Colliery Court Medical Group has officially signed the NHS Sexual Safety Charter. A national initiative, launched by NHS England.
The charter sets clear expectations, to ensure that all healthcare environments are safe, respectful and supportive for both patients and staff.
What does this mean for you as our patient?
By signing the Charter, we commit to:
Maintaining a zero‑tolerance approach to any unwanted or inappropriate sexual behaviour.
Providing a safe, respectful environment for every patient.
Ensuring you have clear and simple ways to report concerns.
Acting quickly and seriously on anything reported.
Your safety and comfort are always our priority.
What does this mean for our staff? It means that our team will:
Follow strengthened sexual‑safety policies.
Receive updated training.
Have clear guidance on reporting concerns.
Be supported in a culture of openness and respect.
Our purpose in signing up to the charter is to help us further, in delivering the highest standards of care for our community. If you ever have a concern, please speak to any member of our team. We will to listen to and support you.
