Suicide Prevention

Are you worried about someone? It can be difficult and upsetting if you care about someone who is struggling with their mental health. Search for sources of support and advice: http://www.stopsuicidenenc.org/visitor/concerned/ @StopSuicideNENC

If you just need someone to talk to, don’t suffer in silence. @Samaritans can be contacted on 116 123 at any time. More sources of support on the @StopSuicideNENC website: www.stopsuicidenenc.org

The local mental health Crisis Team, part of Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, can be contacted on 0303 123 1145.  The team operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  However, the crisis team does not provide an ’emergency’ service such as a 999 response.
