Although it is important for patients to attend the surgery where possible, GPs do provide home visits to those patients who are housebound or are too sick to travel to the surgery.

Home visits take up between 3 and 6 standard appointments, depending how far away from the surgery you live. For that reason and to ensure that visits are available for those who need them, we ask that you only request a house visit when needed.

If you are physically unable to attend the surgery, please call 0191 519 0077 before 11:00 to request a home visit.

The receptionist will need to ask you a few questions about the nature of your problem so the request can be passed over to the GP.
